Anita Torresan
Through the practices of Yoga and Ayurveda, I am dedicated to maintaining and promoting psycho-body health and well-being.
My Path
My journey toward the holistic approach began in 2006 studying to become a Wellness Practitioner. This training opened the door for me to a never-ending quest using the body as a tool for personal growth and evolution.
Facing the different changes in life, I have always found in the body a safe home to return to.
“Returning to the body” allowed me to resume small daily actions that gave me confidence, even though the outside seemed chaotic.
Training and Study Trips
Teaching and Practice
The quest for mindfulness has led me to continue the Way through Yoga as well. I have ranged the practice of asanas from Iyengar to Ashtanga; the Satyananda method for Yoga Nidra, to deepening meditation through Vipassana retreats in the Goenka tradition. I now adapt the practice to my daily needs, without neglecting its primary purpose, which is to support us to live a better life. In addition to my practice, I transmit Yoga by teaching it at some studios such as Jaya Yoga.
Naturopathy and Advanced Studies
In 2019, I graduated from the Galileo Galilei Academy of Natural Hygienic Sciences in Trento as a Naturopath, Iridologist and Heilprakticker with a thesis on nutrition. During these years, I have consistently attended women’s circles at Tenda Rossa in Trento and Levico, also delving into the topic of female cyclicity. My passion for the body, mind and oriental disciplines led me to pursue research with the vision of Āyurveda, starting with Dr. Vercellotti’s AyurPsico course, and continuing training at the Ayurvedic Point school of Ayurvedic medicine in Milan.
Toward an Integrated Approach
In 2022, I enrolled in Ayurvedic Point’s four-year pathway as a Technician in Āyurveda with the goal of collaborating with physicians to integrate holistic disciplines not only as a method of prevention, but also therapy. I firmly believe in collaboration between different health care providers to enhance the well-being of individuals and the community by promoting awareness and an integrated medical approach.
